Toddler Swim Lessons

At Arkansas Swim Academy, our toddler swim lessons for ages 3-4 years are the perfect environment for children to gain water safety skills. Our program uses a child-centered approach to teach children how to rescue themselves in the water. Warm water, songs and games allow children to have fun while learning the importance of buoyancy and to respect the water. Toddlers are in the water with other children and an instructor while parents watch the lesson. We have a 3:1 student to teacher ratio for our Toddler Classes.

According to the American Association of Pediatrics, drowning is the leading cause of death in children ages one to four. Incorporating swim lessons into your child’s early development is one layer of protection parents can take to keep their children safer in and around water.

The Griffith Study found that children who participate in swim lessons are at an early age are developmentally ahead of their non-swimming peers across the board. The study also found that these children transition into formal learning environments like preschool and elementary school more smoothly than their non-swimming peers.
